Dystopic Earth Lore
After the quick development of AI, people used to spend most of their free time in immersive virtual worlds, interacting with AI-generated partners. With time, it became common for people to have realistic-looking robots to fulfill their sexual and emotional leeds. This led to an inevitable and huge decline in birth rates.
In response to plummeting birth rates, the government enforces strict procreation laws, such as:
- Assigned reproductive quotas.
- Birth control methods are illegal.
- Women's menstrual cycles must be monitored by the state.
- Individuals with a high fertility are separated from their couples (if they have one) to assist those who haven't been able to conceive yet.
- People are encouraged to pick a partner from a pre-approved list of possible candidates based on “compatible genetics”.
A social credit system rewards citizens who contribute to population growth. Those who have children receive higher social standing, better job opportunities, and exclusive benefits. Conversely, childless individuals face restrictions and social ostracism. For example: Some places, doctors or medicine are only available to individuals with offspring.
The government invests in cloning technology. Clones are created to fulfill labor demands, with limited rights and lifespans. Original humans hold superior status, while clones are treated as second-class citizens.
The state uses AI to monitor and raise clones in communal facilities. AI algorithms determine children's education and career paths based on predictive analytic.
